Welcome to the Point Pleasant, Mason County West Virginia Original Information Web Site.

When this site was first published in 1997, it was the only site within the County dedicated to providing information about the area. We have come a long way in these ten years. We have established a Tourism Information Center, the City of Point Pleasant has its own site, the Mason County Area Chamber of Commerce, the Point Pleasant River Museum, The Mason County Development Authority as well as many businesses have a presence on the Internet.

It is now time to re-think the mission and goals of this site. Originally we were committed to be "all things to all people". Although manageable for the first several years, this has grown to an impossible task for one volunteer to manage. 

Beginning in 2007 this site will be redirected to provide only information that is not available on any of the other local sites. Links are provided from the main menu to  the sites dedicated to that subject. These links will open a new page in your browser so after you close or minimize them you may 
return to this site to explore other subjects.

The very popular Image Gallery will still be available featuring images from the events, fairs and festivals. Year 2007 will be published as images of general interest are available.  Major events will be published as soon as possible following the event. Selected Images from year 2006  are posted by month. Year 2005 and older will remain in the Gallery as long as there is interest.

The Image Gallery is best viewed at 1280 X 960 display resolution or higher.
Lower resolution will result in some of the images being larger than your screen.
